PUBLIC COMMENTS / CORRESPONDENCE: 1)Informational meeting on Hwy M from Hwy 51 to N,  in Boulder Junction on 4-21-17 @ 3PM.  2)Pitlik’s Letter on County Hwy. M. 3)The Stecker Family emailed their support letters to the town as instructed at the last board meeting. Vilas County grandfathered them instead of  making them rezone their property.

AHLBORN FAMILY TRUST LAND DIVISION:   This was on the 12-21-16 agenda and no one from the family called or attended the meeting so questions could not be asked concerning the division. The Board voted against the land division supporting Ordinance #1-79 and stating safety as the main reason. The Ahlborn Family, their attorney, Greg Harrold and their surveyor, Tom Boettcher were all present and stated that this is a deed recorded easement road and it didn’t fit our Highway Ordinance. We don’t have a Subdivision Ordinance which is where Section F of Ordinance  #1-79 should be not in a Highway Ordinance. They also stated that they needed to supply Vilas County Zoning with a Road Maintenance Agreement. The board would like to have our Town Attorney review this. Motion by Bauers, second by Nerdahl to table this until our Legal Council has time to review it. Unanimously approved.

REQUEST TO MAKE WITCHES LAKE RD CLASS B ROAD: With all the logging operations on Witches Lake Rd and the wear that is being done, Bauers handed out A DOT bulletin titled Using Weight Limits to Protect Local Roads and asked the board to consider posting that road with a 60,000lb weight restriction year round. Many agreed and it will be put on the next agenda for a vote.

CHOOSE ROADS FOR MAINTENANCE: Trapp Rd., North Farming Rd from Hwy 51 to Rux Rd., and Mattke Rd. from Hwy 47 to Sumach Lake Rd. The parking lot needs to be chip sealed and remarked. Chip sealing will also be advertised for bid. Marchese and White Birch Rd will be bid for chip sealing. Sherwood Ln. and Towanda Rd. will be bid for chip sealing and ride control and Propwash Bay for ride control only.
